Ant Group Expo Booth — view 2 — Flexible & Curved installation by ETA Visual

About This Project

When it comes to exhibition booths, first impressions matter. A visually striking LED display not only attracts visitors but also strengthens brand presence and creates an immersive experience. For this project at Singapore Expo, ETA Visual was entrusted with designing, supplying, and installing a large-scale P2.5 Indoor Flexible Curved LED Display for a leading global fintech company's exhibition booth. Although the installation was built for a temporary exhibition, the LED technology used is the same premium fixed installation solution commonly deployed in retail stores, corporate experience centres, museums, airports, shopping malls, and commercial buildings. Despite an extremely tight installation schedule and challenging site conditions, our team successfully completed the project on time, delivering a seamless curved LED display that became the visual centrepiece of the exhibition.

Engineering Challenges & Solutions

Challenge 1

Completing the Installation Within Just 2 Days

The Challenge

The entire project had to be completed within 2 working days, with only 12 working hours per day available on site. Within this short timeframe, the team had to complete structural installation, LED module installation, power and signal cabling, controller configuration, LED calibration, content testing, and final commissioning before the exhibition officially opened.

ETA Visual's Solution

ETA Visual carried out detailed planning before arriving on site. The steel structure, LED modules, controllers, and accessories were prepared in advance, allowing installation to begin immediately. Multiple teams worked simultaneously on different sections of the display while engineers configured and tested the system in parallel. Through effective planning and teamwork, the project was successfully completed on schedule without compromising workmanship or safety.

Challenge 2

Coordinating Installation in a Busy Exhibition Environment

The Challenge

Large-scale exhibition projects involve multiple contractors working simultaneously. Booth builders, electricians, lighting specialists, AV vendors, decorators, and other trades were all working within the same space while racing towards the exhibition opening. With limited working areas and overlapping schedules, coordination became a major challenge.

ETA Visual's Solution

Our team maintained close communication with the main contractor and other vendors throughout the project. Installation activities were carefully coordinated to minimise disruptions and ensure smooth progress for every trade. By remaining flexible and adapting to changing site conditions, ETA Visual successfully completed the LED installation without causing delays or creating obstacles for other contractors.

Challenge 3

Integrating the LED Controller into a Suspended Display

The Challenge

A conventional LED installation normally places the LED controller inside a ground-level equipment rack. However, because this curved LED display was fully suspended above the exhibition booth, installing the controller at ground level was impractical. Long signal cable runs would have increased installation complexity, affected the booth's appearance, and complicated maintenance.

ETA Visual's Solution

Our engineers designed a self-contained control system by integrating the LED controller, receiving cards, and power distribution directly inside the LED cabinet. As the exhibition venue did not provide a dedicated network connection, content was uploaded and managed using a dedicated laptop connected through a secure mobile hotspot. Special attention was given to heat dissipation, ventilation, cable management, equipment accessibility, and system stability — reducing cable runs and delivering reliable performance throughout the exhibition.

Why This Project Was Successful

1

Detailed Pre-Planning

Every structural component, LED module, cable, controller, and accessory was prepared before arriving on site to maximise installation efficiency.

2

Efficient Team Coordination

Different teams worked simultaneously on installation, wiring, configuration, and calibration, significantly reducing overall project time.

3

Smart Engineering Solutions

Integrating the LED controller inside the cabinet eliminated unnecessary cable runs while maintaining reliable system performance.

4

Quality Without Compromise

Despite the demanding schedule, every module was calibrated and tested before handover, ensuring outstanding image quality throughout the exhibition.

The Final Result

  • 13.44-metre Curved LED Display delivered on time
  • 8.32-metre Outer Curved LED Display installed
  • Completed within 2 working days
  • No delays to the overall exhibition schedule
  • No disruption to other contractors
  • Fully calibrated and tested before opening

"From the initial planning stage to the final commissioning, ETA Visual demonstrated exceptional professionalism and project management. Despite having only two days to complete the installation and working alongside multiple contractors within a busy exhibition environment, the team executed the project seamlessly. What impressed us most was their ability to deliver the entire curved LED display without causing delays or creating obstacles for other vendors on site. Every stage — from installation and system configuration to calibration and final testing — was completed efficiently and on schedule. The finished display exceeded our expectations in both visual quality and workmanship. ETA Visual's commitment, technical expertise, and ability to perform under tight deadlines gave us complete confidence throughout the project."
